Sorry, this item has sold.

The medicine wheels are created to represent the circle of life. In certain Native American tribes, they are referred to as "sacred hoops". The most prevalent and used design element in medicine wheels involves the four directions, four winds and four seasons which the cross in the middle represents. They are carried for good luck and are considered strong medicine. If that's the case, maybe we should keep this beauty.

On this beautiful vintage medicine wheel, the feathers are not eagle as those are considered sacred. The hoop is wrapped in thin strips of leather and the feathers are attached with hand crimped metal clips. There is a small hole in the middle of the wood center as seen in the photo. We have left the tag on for provenance.

This hoop is 4" in diameter and the total length is 13" from the top of the hanger to the tip on the longest feather. Handmade by the Native American artist, Margaret Lopez.
