Mid Century Japanese Ceramic Vase in Celadon

Sorry, this item has sold.

A very pretty small vintage vase in a soothing shade of celadon. Celadon is a pale blue green (almost a mint green) named after a type of ceramic that originated in China. Celadon is both a color and a glaze that was developed and refined during the 10th and 11th centuries. This sake bottle shaped piece is an example of that color not the antique glaze.

It stands 5" tall and is about 2" wide at the base. No chips or cracks. One small manufacturer flaw on the inside bottom rim otherwise in good vintage condition. Made in Japan.
