Vintage possibly antique Maricopa ceramic jar with a beautiful brick red finish and simple hand painted black geometric design. The artist, Mary Juan (1892-1977), was one the original members of the Maricopa Pottery Cooperative and one of the main Revival Period artists from 1937 to 1941. She continued to create pottery until the 1960s.
The vase stands 5" high and is approximately 3" at its widest. No chips or cracks. A few pit marks in the glaze as seen in the photos - typical due to age. Otherwise in good vintage condition. Signed "Mary Juan".
