Mid Century Ceramic Capistrano Berry Bowl by Red Wing Stoneware and Pottery

This mid century Capistrano small bowl has a textured hand painted interior featuring a beautiful abstract swallow (the migratory bird that nests in San Juan Capistrano, CA from March to October) design. Glossy off white glaze with black, dark green chartreuse, gray and purple accents. The piece originated in 1953 as a berry bowl to a larger set. We love to repurpose it as a soap dish. Created for Red Wing Pottery.

The bowl measures 5 3/4" at its widest and is 1 1/2" high. One small chip on the underside of the handle as seen in last photo.
