This stunning vintage ovoid shaped ceramic vase takes our breath away. The clean lines and unusual shape are a great example of simple modern design indicative of mid century home decor. And we never knew we could like grey so much until seeing this glossy glaze.
Manufactured by Jaru Art Products which was started in 1950 by Jack and Ruth Hirsh right here in our own backyard, Culver City, Calif. The name of the company is a combination of the first two letters of their first names (Ja and ru).
This vase has no chips or cracks. In great vintage condition. Felt feet pads on the bottom.
It stands 12" high and is 8 1/2" wide at its widest point and approximately 3" deep. No maker's mark stamped in the clay but there is the original label that is barely attached.
