Pair of Vintage Mexican Pottery Dishes

$44.00

Asombrosa!

This pair of vintage ceramic dishes hand painted in traditional Mexican style were probably produced before Ken Edwards put Mexican pottery on the map. The ceramic pieces themselves seem primitive yet authentic in shape but we adore the decorative hand painting on the interior. The accent colors of sage green, pale blue with off white and black work so nicely against the brick red ground. These are purely decorative. Do not serve food in them due to the lead in the glaze.

The larger dish measures 10 1/4" long by 7 1/4" wide by 1 3/4" high and the smaller dish is 8 5/8" long by 5 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" high. No cracks but there are scuff marks and chips in the glaze as seen in the photos.
